Copa: Have you always been a 'people person?'
Trina: Yes, if I can remember, so my mother said that since the age of 3 when she threw a birthday party and there were 9 little girls that celebrated with me, she said even at that age they gravitated to me, sharing my joy.

Copa: What other activities were you affiliated with?
Trina: Wow where I can start, during grade school, I was in the following clubs Art, theatre Glee club. I took part in the track and basketball team. Was assistant team captain for a United States Army team of 15 “Race for The Cure”: Susan G. Komen in New York City. Volunteered to be a flag carrier for one of the many countries in the Miss Universe Pageant in Honolulu, HI in the late nineties. Served as team coach for a local kickball team in Baltimore, MD. Copa: What is the name of your new events company and what type of events will you be specialized in promoting?
Trina: The name of my company is Love’s Enterprises. My specialties are entertainment promotion, entertainer’s agent; and political, corporate, reunions, children, and private events. Currently, I have been heavily and successfully involved promoting participation at neighborhood nightclubs via social media and serving as an agent for bands and DJ’s as well as serving as the campaign manager for two judicial candidates in our County’s election. Copa: What's your philosophy to the business of entertainment?
Trina: My philosophy on entertainment is enjoying an environment of happiness in which you are given yourself permission to embark upon either as a receiver or provider. To Entertain is to provide one with amusement or enjoyment; to me, that translates to Fun. “Lighthearted” is my essence and I bring that to each event that I conduct and find that to be a very effective means to liven any gathering; that same essence is echoed in my company name, Love’s enterprises. Being totally planned and organized before the start of the event allows me to enjoy the program along with the customers (Guests) and in return, they relax and enjoy. Finally, each event must be tailored to the customer's requirements and venue available. Copa: What makes the 'day party' so popular in the DMV?
Trina: The “Day Party” has major, especially to the DMV and some minor advantages. Party-goers tend to spend less time at the venue, enjoy a meal, music, dancing, networking and overall a good time and can make their other events planned for later that night. People Home life is enhanced as parents are home in time to care for children before bedtime. |
Copa: Are there any special activities at your events that add to all of the fun?
Trina: The party- goers that are familiar with the venue will find a refreshing party atmosphere, balloons, table decorations, lighted walls and a large backdrop banner that serves to highlight my logo for my photographer's photo shots. A gift basket raffle adds fun as the winners tout the contents to the less fortunate. The DJ is selected for their music variety that is tailored to the immediate surrounding area. Finally, I try to great every guest, welcome them and make them feel that they are my personal guest and that I look forward to seeing them at my next event. Copa: What does the future hold for Trina Love?
Trina: The future holds endless possibilities seeing the” glass half-full” as I build a broader client base that goes beyond the local spectrum and set up a nationwide organization. I have learned from mistakes, underestimates and contract misunderstandings and believe that much of my learning curve is complete. I have recently successfully met with several club owners and have tentative calendar bookings and have scheduled more appointments for others. I also have promising commitments from comedians, bands, and DJ’s to serve as their booking agent. I look forward to the next election cycle to serves again as a campaign manager. |
