"How to transition your hair styles to become spring ready"
By: Artyce Dozier
The cold weather is behind us, time to show off that Summer body you have been working on all winter, right? Well if your like me you took the winter to spend time with loved ones, maybe ate some unneeded calories like warm apple pie with ice cream, Yum! Either way we totally enjoyed the winter, our hair was simple, clean and out of the way. Winter is officially over now, lets have some fun with our HAIR!
Spring is here that means beautiful flowers, bright sunshine and more party invites. Why not show up to your next festivity with new hair? Leave the buns and super straight hair for the cooler months, this season is the time to be fun, different and daring. I will help give you some new ideas to help make your hair Spring Ready!
Here are some of the newest trends in hair this Spring. First for all of my curly girls this is one of the best season to wear our natural curly hair. With humidity on the rise, straightening your hair is pointless unless you use a special treatment to seal your cuticles down (keratin treatment). This is the season to let your hair be free, try some curling rods, or a curly pin up. Top knots and curls are super cute and super fashionable at the moment. So let your curls bounce around and we all will be admiring them. Natural Curly Hair on Mrs D.C. Now for those who want to keep there straight or beachy waves, during the hotter months, I recommend some extensions. Yes extensions all of the Celebs are doing it. Yes even the Kardashians. Extension are fun and help you change out your current style in a matter of minutes. If you want long hair, add longer extensions, if you want a cute Bob add extensions. Your hair is protected and you can flatiron and curl extension as much as you want with out damaging your real hair. There are so many techniques now, no one will ever know. It will be a secret for you and your stylist. I would consult with your licensed Hair Stylist for which method works best for your hair type.
When I think of Spring I think of beautiful colors from the flowers blooming to the stylish outfits that we will encounter outside. So why not add some color to your hair? Festival/Unicorn Colors are super big this season. For the adventurous ladies try out a cool pastel color or add some blonde balayage to your hair. For those who just want to stay conservative lighten up your base color to a warm brown with dark golden hues, blended thru it. Sounds fun and different right? New hair colors are fun and remember you can always go back to the original color. Consult a professional I bet she or he will be excited to help update your look.
