Rodney Wayne Branche Copa Style Magazine Editor-in-Chief/CEO Copa: Where are you from?
Lenzi: I currently live in Waldorf, Maryland but I grew up in Prince George's County. Copa: What schools have you attended?
Lenzi: I've attended Bradbury Heights Elementary School in Capital Heights Md, Drew Freeman Middle School in Suitland Md, Riverdale Baptist in Largo, Maryland for High School. I've also studied Nursing at Prince George's Community College and I've taken a few IT courses at the College of Southern Maryland. Copa: What influenced you to be a photographer?
Lenzi: I used to watch America's Next Top Model growing up and I loved the Photoshoot challenges that Tyra Banks would set up for the models! Nigel Barker was the photographer and I admired his work and I developed an interest in editorial photography. My favorite parts of the show was watching Nigel coach the models and watching how the models would pose. I couldn't wait to see how the pictures came out and to see who won the challenge at the end of the show. My favorite Next Top Model was Eva Marcille, the winner from cycle 3. I was always inspired by Tyra Banks, Naomi Campbell, and Twiggy, a famous model from the 60s. I also was a big fan of Project Runway! I developed an interest in learning about aspiring designers and my love of Fashion shows grew from there! |

Copa: What or who were your first subjects?
Lenzi: My very first photo-shoot was about 5 years ago when I partnered up with a friend of mine, we worked at Nordstrom in Tyson's Corner together. She was studying to be a stylist and she wanted me to do a photo shoot for her. She picked out a wardrobe with 3 looks from Nordstrom and we shot at Dupont Circle in DC. My first fashion show was at Marymount University Senior Runway Show. All the graduates showcased their senior line, and my friend Margret was a junior at that time but some of her pieces where going to be featured in the show. She invited me to shoot!

Copa: What do you like the most about shooting fashion shows?
Lenzi: I love the atmosphere! It's a great opportunity to capture new trends and I also get to meet upcoming designers! |
Copa: What is your philosophy on the art of Photography?
Lenzi: Photography is a medium of visual art that tells a story and brings emotions to life. One picture can speak a thousand words but yet only captures a moment in time. |

Copa: What does the future hold for Lenzi and her world of photography?
Lenzi: Hopefully an opportunity to travel to different places to learn about other cultures and their view of fashion. Also, to gain more experience in editorial and narrative photography. I will never know where the future will take me in my career in photography but that's what makes my journey more exciting |
