Copa: Salome where are you from?
Salome: I'm from the beautiful country of Ethiopia. My country has never been colonized and I'm very proud of it. Copa: What schools have you attended?
Salome: I attended the Nzareth School. Copa: At what time did you decide to become a model?
Salome: I decided to become a model at the age of 15. I walked my first runway while I was living in Italy, it was an unforgettable time and a great experience. |

Copa: How would you describe your first fashion show as a model on the runway and first photo-shoot? Who are your favorite 3 designers and models?
Salome: My 3 favorite designers are Zelda Barbouy Wynn, Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavallli, favorite models, Tyra Bank, Iman and Naomi Campbell. |
Copa: We see that you have been very busy on the fashion scene as a designer and host, How did this all start?
Salome: I started when I was 15. I always had a deep love for fashion so I followed my dreams and travelled to Italy for Fashion school and worked with Designer Roberto Cavalli. Copa: What is your view on today's Fashion Industry on the International scene?
Salome: I think today Fashion it’s growing I see more diversity which is very important for up coming designers. |
Copa: We see that you have another fabulous fashion event coming up soon in Richmond, Virginia. Please tell our readers all about it.
Salome: I started my first Fashion show in Richmond 4 years a go. I felt like wasn't enough opportunities for fashion shows or designers. I was traveling all over the world hosting fashion shows and acting so I decided to work with my wonderful friend and business partner Actor, Tim Reid. We came up with a great plan to bring many international designers to Richmond. So here we are doing really well by having a sold show every year. When we think of fashion we always think. NYC, LA or Paris. I say why not Richmond. I've been so proud of the response from our city.

Copa: What does the future hold for Salome Autolino and her fabulous world of International Fashion?
Salome: I see my future hosting more fashion shows and media centers where I can help young men and women to be come the best of whatever they decide. There's also a movie coming up this summer and I'm also working on a few projects in Ethiopia and South Africa. |
