Danila Rodrigues
~ Fitness Model/Trainer/Nutritionist ~
Copa: Where are you from?
Danila: I'm from a small city in Sao Paulo, Brazil called Sao Miguel Arcanjo. Copa: Please tell us about some of your training and coaching.
Danila: I hold a several certificates: One in Anatomy by the University of Michigan, also have a degree in Personal Training by NASM. I’m also certified in Wellness, Sports Coaching, and Nutrition Coaching focused in Sport & Family Nutrition both by SEARS. Copa: At what time did you develop a love for sports and fitness?
Danila: Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been very active and into sports, as I used to play volleyball! So sports and exercise came into my life very early. |
Copa: When did you start to compete?
Danila: Although I have always been fascinated by the fitness industry, my first opportunity to start training to compete happened later in life, as I did my first show in 2018 and I ended up being awarded first place in my category.

Copa: What advise are you able to share with our readers concerning good nutrition?
Danila: First and foremost, we have to be conscious about what we eat, also, we need to keep moving out bodies, because that’s the key to have a long and healthy life. Our future is determined by our actions today. The importance of nutrition in fitness is not only about aesthetics, but mainly about being healthy. The reason why you should start eating healthy and exercising is because you are looking to improve your quality of life, in the long run. A lot of people set unrealistic goals for themselves and end up getting frustrated because they didn’t lose weight or gained muscle in a short period of time. But they need to understand that healthy eating and exercising should be a lifestyle and this is the mindset that I want my clients and everyone around me to have.

Copa: How would you describe your 'personal style?'
Danila: I usually don’t have a set style. Sometimes I start the day wearing tennis shoes, and later on that same day I’ll be wearing high heels, with my hair and makeup done. You’re never gonna see me going out wearing my pajamas, unless it’s a pajama party. I like to be comfortable, but I like to be comfortable in style. I love looking in the mirror feeling good and confident about myself. |
Copa: When did you begin modeling?
Danila: I did some modeling when I was a teenager, but unfortunately things happened in life and I couldn’t move forward with my dreams. Later in life, after leaving a toxic and emotionally abusive relationship, I decided to go after the things that would make me happy and that would make me feel beautiful inside and out. I remember seeing those beautiful fitness models on the covers of magazines and thinking how I wanted to be there, but my dreams were buried and I couldn’t go anywhere. Now I know I’m not in my 20’s anymore but the message I want to send is that no matter how old you are, there is always time to make your dreams come true. The Danila from a few years ago, would absolutely never think that she would be where I am today. I just want people to understand where I came from and where I am today, because breaking those walls was a huge accomplishment. |
Copa: How do you prepare for competition?
Danila: An athlete should never compete if he/she isn’t ready to give their best. We don’t have that option. It’s either our best, or our best. There’s no “in between." It’s always 100%. The prep time is determined by your goal, individually. Each person is different. The important part is to keep your schedule and remember your objective! The end result is always worth it. Copa: Are you planning anything special now for 2022?
Danilla: I decided to take 2021 off to take care of other priorities in my life that require a lot of effort and I need to focus 100%, but I plan on absolutely being back on stage in 2022! |
Copa: What does the future hold for Danila Rodrigues in her wide world of modeling, fitness, and style?
Danila: I try not to think about the future very much, everything that has happened to me over the last couple of years has been a blessing and I’m open to the Universe to keep sending great and amazing things my way. The one thing I know is that I’m gonna keep doing what I love , which is modeling and also coaching (and competing) who knows what will happen next? As long as I’m healthy, and my family is happy and taken care of, I’m happy!
