Copa: At what time did you discover that you were interesting in Communications and Marketing?
Sherron: During my second semester of getting my BA I realized that I was more drawn to communications than business and by the following year I knew it was specifically marketing. After my first marketing class at Trinity I was blown away by the process.

Copa: Did you ever think that you would become a University Professor?
Sherron: Nope, but my mom did. She used to say when I started to attend Trinity, that your going to be a Professor. If I am really honest about it, I never thought I would be any type of instructor. My mentor believed in me so much that she offered me an opportunity to teach and I fell in love with it ever since.

Copa: What is your Philosophy on education?
Sherron: Everyone should be learning everyday, I am a professional student, that means until the day I die I will always be striving to find new things to learn about. I change others with the task of doing the same thing. You can never have too much education.

Copa: What areas of communication do you focus on in your classes that you feel are unique in these times for your students?
Sherron: Various areas like: Public Speaking, Intercultural Communication, Gender and Communication, Mass Media Communication and many more. I focus more on the aspect of the goal of communication which is "so that your INTENDED message can be received." Often time we blame miscommunication on the lack of the other person's ability to interpret correctly. When in actuality we should question are we are delivering the message that the person will directly interpret our intent?
