From the Bus to the Bentley
No More Limits
Stan Richards is a man living his passion. Sometimes it takes a catastrophic event in
our lives to bring us to our breaking point.
When we are there, we have a choice.
We can stay there paralyzed and defeated or dig deep and discover that
secret place we didn’t even know existed…that place called “self-preservation
and survival” where we choose to fight fear or give in to death. Have you ever been in this place? I have…and so has Stan.
Stan and I spoke of our untimely catastrophic events that occurred in both of our lives…Mine was Rape…and his… the death of his brother from pancreatic cancer. Stan calls it a “Pattern Interrupt.” When life appears to be moving along fine where realistically, we have become complacent and unchallenged until the unexpected moment where our world is knocked right off its axis…and we are faced with a decision that will influence the path of our lives forever…..
STAN’S MOTHER…a prayer warrior…always told Stan that he was great and he can accomplish anything he wanted. “Don’t follow the masses and always embrace change.”
Stan grew up in a three bedroom apartment with 7 siblings in the project apartments that he describes as “the Hood” of Washington, D.C. This interview is dedicated to Doris, Stan’s mother….A prayer warrior…..woman of strength….a woman who survived physical as well as mental abuse…with faith…love for her children and her own inner desire to fight and persevere through it all. A woman who taught her son to overcome the obstacles of his life and become who he imagines he can be and not focus on the reality of where he is currently.
We all know Stan Richards as the Double Platinum Senior Vice President of the 5LINX Organization and Author of the bestselling book, From the Bus to the Bentley…No More Limits. Now meet the Man Behind the Bentley…a closer more intimate view of Stan Richards.
To my readers….I hope that this article enlightens and challenges us as men and women to dig deep and learn to show our love for each other on a deeper level. We all have been through…..but as I have revealed my secret…..I pray you do not let yours destroy love.
Much Love….MINGO
