Copa: Where are you from?
Candace: I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Copa: When did you find the desire to attend school and establish your salon?
Candace: I had aspirations of becoming a Cosmetologist and salon owner as a High School student. The vocational program would allow me to immediately pursue this career in the beauty industry after graduation. I perused further studies and received my cosmetology certification from Mimms Classic Beauty College in San Antonio TX in 1996. There, I took every opportunity available to me to invest in continuing education classes, receiving certifications in chemical relaxing, coloring, cutting and different styling techniques. I became a licensed instructor in 2010. Beginning in 2014 I provided internships for high school and local beauty school students throughout the Akron area. Copa: Who was your biggest influence that encouraged you to pursue your dreams?
Candace: There was one particular stylist of many that was influential to me through her mentorship. Her passion and drive as a stylist and manager motivated me to grow my business behind the chair and become the next Managing Hair Consultant for Positive Image Hair Salon of Akron, Ohio since 2008. |

Copa: What is your business's philosophy of service to your customers?
Candace: The Philosophy to my business and policy to my clients is setting higher standards in professionalism within the beauty industry. Education is key in maintaining and establishing trusted relationships and growing a successful business.

Candace: My future in my business Is continuously expanding and living my passion in providing top notch service to my clients. Being creative in my craft has exposed me to the secrets of business success. Impacting others in Salon Leadership and skill training will always be my #1 goal. "The Total Look!"
