Fall/Winter 2014 Makeup Trends!
Sadly, Summer is coming to an end. The good news is that my favorite fashion season is on the horizon! As a fashionista, Fall/Winter fashions are always something I look forward to! I love layering my clothing, wearing leggings, boots, jackets, and coats! There are so many creative ways to express yourself through this fashionable season!
This time of year, as tans fade, I love how you can get more dramatic with your makeup! Playing up eyes and lips are where it’s at as the temperatures drop!

So what are the hot makeup trends for Fall/Winter 2014? One of this season’s hottest makeup looks are metallic eye shadows! Try bronze, silver, copper, or any metallic shade on lids for a dramatic effect! It’s a great look for evening! I love Urban Decay’s the Naked collection! They have three different palettes and each has a wide array of beautiful metallic and matte shades! A “must have” for your personal makeup collection!

Another trend this season that has been holding strong is the bold lip! Burgundy and reds are a staple for this season! A top choice is Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet L’Impatiente. It’s a beautiful deep rich burgundy! A terrific classic red that looks good on just about any skin tone, and is my all time favorite red lip color, is Mac Retro Matte Ruby Woo Lipstick!

One of my personal favorite makeup trends this season is the bold eyebrow! A well groomed eyebrow really frames the eyes and beautifully balances the dramatic lips of this season! Try Anastasia brow kits! They are the best makeup line for eyebrow makeup! They have a wide variety of brow colors and textures, and you can even buy eyebrow stencils to help you create the perfect shape! I will go more in depth on how to create the perfect brow in a future article!

When it comes to trying a new makeup trend remember to keep in mind your own personal style, age, and skin tone! If you are a teen or under 30 years old you can be open to most trends and they will work! As you mature, however, you must be cautious with certain trends, as they can be aging. Toning down a trend to soften the look can work really well and still keep you up to date!
It is September and that means the time has come around, once again, for Fashion weeks in NY, and DC for Spring 2015 trends! I look forward to attending some of the shows and will keep you up to date on all the latest beauty styling trends and expert tips!
