Copa: Where are you from?
Martina: I'm from the Washington, DC area. Copa: What is your age?
Martina: I'm now 16 but I'll be 17 in January of 2022. Copa: How many titles have you won so far?
Martina: I've competed in about 50 pageants and won 44. Copa: How long have you been competing in pageants?
Martina: I've been competing for fun since the age of 5. I remember approaching my mother about competing for a County title at age 11 and won my first registered state title. Since that day I've had pageant fever! I've also won numerous state titles, national titles, and an international title. This is quite rare to have accomplished it all by the age of 15. I presently hold the title of Miss Teen Globe.

What is your inspiration to compete?
Martina: My inspiration is simply the fact that I truly love every bit of it! I enjoy meeting new friends and gathering new experiences.

Copa: Why do you consider yourself to be a "Phoenix?"
Martina: They call me the "Phoenix" because I am a strong willed young lady that is raising from the ashes of my sisters recent suicide I have the resiliency to keep moving forward, never backing down! It is my will to help others navigate their way through personal struggles during these difficult times that sets me apart! I consider myself as a fighter with great strength and compassion. In this life one must be strong to continue on their path to the future in a bold manner to succeed!

Martina: Just because a fashion trend is popular doesn't mean it's for everyone.
Be yourself, feel good about the skin that you're in and understand that confidence will always be the key. Nothing beats a beautiful smile that lights up the beautiful world around you first. Wear what make you feel good and accentuate the positives. Focus on what motivates you and rock whatever strikes your fancy. Enjoy every second of breezing down life's incredible runway!

Copa: What are your plans after you graduate from High School?
Martina: I would like to major in Business and minor in Communication. I'm currently studying Cosmetology. I probably would make a great Make-up Artist.
