Copa: Where are you from?
Janette: My country of origin is Cameroon. A beautiful bilingual country with it citizens fluent in both English and French. Cameroon is a strategically tucked into the coastal edge of West Africa. Due to its exotic terrain and breath taking forests and mountains. It is actually referred to as AFRICA IN MINIATURE. Copa: What schools have you attended?
Janette: I attended the following schools:
Copa: Which family members influenced you the most to mold you into the woman you are today?
Janette: Several members of my family stemming from my grandparents contributed to who I am today. It is said,” It takes a village to raise a child”. Coming from a family of a well-educated father who was a judge, education was always a perfect end point for me and this was his mantra, “Your education is your first husband and the rest can come in any other” that resonated with me as I maneuver the school system and my life in general. My Mother was an entrepreneur, very hard working, God fearing, compassionate, which naturally inoculated me with those qualities as well. 
Copa: Have you always been a very fashionable person?
Janette: I can say fashion was a culture in my family because most of the women including my Mother had that DNA of fashion sense. My Sisters also increased the fashion intensity with a sound adherence to haute culture. In addition to that, my younger Sister, a practicing gynecologist was once a model and a beauty Queen who makes fashion second nature and can turn a simple combination of a T-shirt and jeans look like runway material. |

Copa: How long have you lived in the United States?
Janette: Actually, I have been in the United States of A for over 30 plus years and counting.

Copa: What is your opinion on fashion, style in makeup in the DMV area?
Janette: Fashion in the DMV is very diverse being that they are cosmopolitan in its demographic. The advantage to this is that one can actually combine the different ethnic styles and come up with their own unique yet exotic style.

Copa: We have noticed that you have your particular flair for fashion, how would you describe your personal
style?
Janette: My fashion flair is based on staying consistent on a daily basis. I would love to go right from work to a date with my spouse or attend a high end business dinner without too much of a fuss because I get it together from the get go as I walk out my house.

Copa: What does the future holds for Janette Obenson Arogundade and her world of fashion and style?
Janette: All I can say is that the almighty God has been good to my Family and me. I am grateful to be married to a wonderful man who is very understanding and able to deal with my flaws but still love me unconditional. We are lucky to have two lovely boys whom I want to see catapult themselves to greater highs than we have done and continue to serve the Lord Moreso; my love for fashion and style will continue as I age because it is something that I will not let go and to make sure I stay with the new fashion trends as it changes year in, year out. Fashion and style is my drug and it is my form of self-expression, which allows me to highlight my unique individuality. |
Copa: I have noticed that you like Keula Binelly’s Fashion collection. What makes them special to you?
Janette: Keula Binelly’s fashion collection are special to me because it is so distinctive, enthralling, chic and classy, not found in stores around here. You can find unique pieces for different taste, budgets and lifestyles. When I wear them, I get so much compliment from my friends. In addition to that, she gives you her undivided attention, she even helps you in the selections, and more importantly, you nibble and drink while you shop. What an outstanding customer service!!!
