Copa: On Opening Night of DC Fashion Week, what did you think about the venue of Aston Martin-Bentley?
Ronald: I want to first thank you for your invitation to give my feedback about DCFW, it was the best yet! Opening night was super fun with all the well dressed guests ready to have an amazing evening. I feel the back drop for the event was awesome enough for any event, how can you go wrong with 1/2 a million dollar cars surrounding you. The set up was very conducive to a very elegant and sophisticated fashion show specifically and one of this caliber. I hope Aston Martin invites DCFW back again next year. |
Copa: Did you feel that the hosts had performed a great job at the event?
Ronald: Guy Lambert and Candiace Dillard were quite entertaining, I'm glad that it was two hosts instead of one. Sometimes hosts try to use humor to get the crowd into the show but Guy Lambert is a pro and he partners well with anyone he happens to co-host with including a Real Housewife of Potomac! Copa: What was your opinion of the designers and their creations that were displayed?
Ronald: I was very impressed with Ean Williams' line of course, he's just so talented and his artistic creativity seems to go above and beyond each year. He really brings fashion on a higher level with grace, over the top designs, and simplicity all at the same time. BCBG was super cool, I've been a fan of this retailer for years and it brings fashion forward. |
Copa: We also see that you had attended the DCFW Industry Networking Party Event at the FELT Lounge at MGM in National Harbor. What was the atmosphere like for the evening?
Ronald: I can't begin to say how much fun I had at the Industry Networking Event. I mean the drinks were a bit costly but my date for the evening decided to hit a sports bar down the hall and got it in and came back and hit the dance floor. The DJ was insane and I didn't want to leave the dance floor. I got the opportunity to meet so many people in the fashion industry as I handed out cards and received a few as well. Everyone seemed to be festive soaking it all in with the designers, models, media and of course the photographers were all ready to capture all the moments including me on the dance floor. I participated before in DCFW events in previous years but this year was very different for me in a very positive way. I can wait for new year! |
