Trae: I've earned an Associate Degree in Science from Howard Community College in Columbia, MD. I also have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree of Social Work from Howard University in Washington, DC.

Copa: What would you say are your best 'people skills?
Trae: I can discuss difficult subjects with people in a compassionate manner. Also, I've found that actively listening to people and having honest and open communication is greatly beneficial! I enjoy speaking with and meeting new people. It's always a great opportunity to learn more from them. Each person has something new to offer!

Copa: What encouraged you to become a Real Estate Agent?
Trae: I became a Real Estate Agent to help people achieve the dream of home ownership! Copa: What is your personal philosophy when it comes to working with people in general?
Trae: I try to treat people the way I would like to be treated! I pray and stay humble. I also Volunteer in the Community and support Local Businesses. |
Copa: Could you share a little information to our readers about a few things that are happening now in the Real Estate scene?
Trae: For a little over a year, low mortgage rates and and increase in working from home have contributed to an increase in housing demands.Despite uncertain economic times, there has been a booming residential housing market.The Housing sales and prices have stayed strong through the fall and winter months amid increasingly short inventory and high demand.
With the population of millennial increasing, the demand side of housing appears to remain strong. Many Buyers often need to purchase a large home due to accommodate a growing family. Hopefully, Buyers who are currently struggling to find a house will see an improvement in the number of listings available to them as more Sellers list their Houses for the Spring/Summer buying season.

- Save money for housing-related expenses and additional expenses.
- Work with a Mortgage Lender to explain your financing options; interest rates; etc.; review and underwrite your income and credit documentation and approve your loan; How much you can spend on a home.

- Working with a Real Estate Agent can help buyers navigate and negotiate through the Home Buying Process:
- Why location can be a determining factor in your home choice: What matters most to you when you deciding where to live?
- For example, do you want to be near movie theaters, parks, lakes, restaurants, public transportation, clubs, schools?
- Whether you choose a single-family home, town home, condo or manufactured home, the type of home you decide on will most likely be based on your wants, needs, and price point. Some types of housing have extra fees, such as condo fees or a Homeowners Association fee, which you will be required to pay if you purchase these types of properties. These fees may also cover the general community maintenance or amenities such as a pool.
