Copa: At what time did you develop an interest for photography?
Bill: The interest started in High School. I had a phenomenal teacher, Mr. Isaac Creek.

Copa: What or who were your first subjects?
Bill: The Girls in my photography class! Oddly enough, that initial concept turned into the great love I have for headshots, and the emotion in movement.

Copa: We see that you have a wide range of photographic themes and subjects, which ones are your favorites?
Bill: Certainly the capture of movement; particularly with artists on stage. Having grown up in the church, and being an accomplished Gospel Organist; the relationship of emotion & movement seem commonplace. The same holds true in my passion for shooting children, with all their unbridled energy.

Copa: What was the most interesting shoot you have ever had?
Bill: Many have been incredibly interesting. Janet Jackson in concert. It was incredible trying to keep up with her. But, once (it) clicked; (we) clicked. That singular view through my lens was tied to every nerve ending in my body.

Copa: If you had your choice, where in the world would you shoot and what person would you like to be your subject?
Bill: I’m (thankfully) well traveled. I’ve seen many beautiful parts of the World. I’ve had the blessed opportunity to be in places with some of the most beautiful people. So, that’s a tough question.
Perhaps the Canals of Venice, Italy; in all its romantic splendor, with Tatyana Ali smiling at sundown. (Make sure she reads this!)

Copa: What equipment do you use?
Bill: Nikon. Although I like other equipment, that’s my go-to. Besides, I haven’t yet reached the economic level to own the Hasselblad’s and Mamiya’s.

Copa: What does the future hold for Bill Hart?
Bill: I continue to work with my Senior Networks in the areas of Health & Wellness. And building upon, what I reference as Concept Photography; building around real causes that matter, and should be enlightened in positive ways to raise conscious awareness.
