Patterns 102 – Who
likes change?
The introduction to patterns was seemingly easy, just in veiled manner started you off on the road to exploration. Sometimes we hesitate on this journey to identifying our patterns because in that process we cannot help but Revolutionize and at times the socially learned pattern of fear will overpower us. That is o.k., that is what many would consider normal.
What we do need to look at in this step are two main items:
Whenever we ask others for input we have to understand the source and their patterns. For example, if we ask our family members or friends whom we have had for many many years it is likely that their answer is shaped by our shared experiences, their genuine love for us – which can lead to a protective action - and by the fact that they like us and are used to use just the way we are. Change is not something that is easy, liked by many, and particularly a change in a person is often met with resistance; maybe not the external change as much (though even there most of us have probably experienced debates about why we changed our hair color etc.) as the internal one.
Think about what happens when you end a relationship. It is as if not you are impacted by that but all your other friends and your family is, too and there are many question you may have to field about “why.”
Take this to heart as the source of the reaction to your sharing of the initial question (Patterns 101) will show you the patterns of other people as well. This is a crucial addition to your Revolution because sometimes it is easier for us to grasp the full extent of a pattern when we see others.
If you are meeting a lot of resistance just by asking these questions you know that there is a level of discomfort and fear in your support network that you or something with you might change. This then can show you how you react to such pressures. It will show you your own level of confidence and self love – two key ingredients to a happy and successful life.
How so?

- How do I feel about what I have just begun to
realize?
- How did the person / the persons I asked for
input react to this?
