​Designers turned up the heat like never before this past weekend for the 5th annual DC Swim Week 2019* at the Embassy of Italy in Washington DC. This season delivered an eclectic and diverse mix of forty leading fashion designers from around the world and an unsurpassed lineup of entertainment—all under one iconic roof. In keeping with the modern artistic style of the Italian Embassy's atrium and glass dome, DCSW’s circular runway offered a perfect vantage point for each guest.

Friday night’s premiere DC Swim Week 2019 Resort Collection Show highlighted energy, color and movement as fourteen unforgettable designers unveiled their new Spring/Summer 2020 collections in Swimwear, Lingerie, Active wear and Accessories, with a style takeover ranging from the simple to the extravagant.

​Transitioning into Saturday night’s Genesis Swimwear Show, the weekend gained even greater momentum as sixteen more of the world’s top designers surprised us with their newest lines. They did not disappoint!

​The whole weekend was definitely enhanced by the talents of this year’s host and emcee, Dr. Renee Allen (TV and Radio Personality) of Star Entertainment Group. Dr. Renee brought the house down as she welcomed industry professionals, fashion designers, models, elite business leaders, entrepreneurs, diplomats, and more.

This year’s exclusive VIP package sported a Red Carpet VIP Reception, a complete open wine bar, Peroni bar and Hydration lounge, swag bags, photo ops with DCSW #swimsquad models,and full access to the culinary lounge and tasting stations presented by nearly a dozen fine local restaurants. ​
