In a busy town like Washington, DC, we have many individuals who don't really have the time to spend shopping the stores seeking the new trends, colors, accessories etc. to maintain that definitive look that one may require to stay on top of their fashionable game. This is when one summons the specialized and skilled services of a seasoned professional like Kara Allen, "Life Style Stylist"!
As a native of Northern Virginia, Kara attended Hayfield H.S. As a young girl of 12, she started to experiment with makeup at home under the protests of her father and tested various looks she could obtain by using different brands of beauty products . At 16 Kara began working in the stores of Springfield Mall. Later she attended NOVA and studied Marketing for a while and later married, divorced and went on to start a business with her Mother-in-Law.
One day Kara was reading an article about a woman who was in the business of Image Consulting, this gave her an idea. Soon Kara enrolled in several classed and received greater insight in color application techniques. During this time she did everything she could to get her hands on any book on styling and personal shopping. She later joined the trade association, passed several tests related to her studies in all levels. So in 2009, Kara began consulting clients in beauty and style . The rest is history!
Ms. Allan firmly believes that if you feel good, you should look well and one should be intuitive and curious about life, and if you ask the right questions, you should be able to receive the correct answers. Kara's basic philosophy to shopping is to stick to a particular style that easily changes with you. Her best shopping advice is, "Never shop hungry, tired, or stressed", and "Always know what you have in closet before you go shopping"!
