Copa: Where are you from?
Dwayne: I'm from the wonderful city of Bronx, New York Copa: What schools have you attended?
Dwayne: I attended Iona Prep and Hampton University. Copa: At what time did you you develop an interest in becoming a DJ?
Dwayne: In my pre-teen years, that was the first time an interest arose in music. I was called DJ Personnel of the DJ crew Authorized Personnel and my business partner was DJ Authorized. That was around the year 1982. I gave up on the dream for nearly 3 decades but the dream came back around 15 years ago and I haven't looked back since. Copa: What sort of equipment do you usually use at your events?
Dwayne: A Gemini 4 Channel Mixer which I still have to this day. I also started with a pair of Technics SL-1200. Spinning on vinyl was the only option in those days and that's why I prefer the feel of vinyl spinning today. I am what you could call a Turntablist. Copa: Who are your 2 best DJs of all time?
Dwayne? So many DJ's have left an impression on me but I would have to give the nod to Grand Master Flash slightly ahead of Kool Herc. |

Dwayne: Knowing music of various genres and catering to the audience. I pride myself on being able to play for a multitude of different audiences.
