Makeup Essentials For Your Summer Travel!

Now that the summer is here and so many of us will be traveling, it’s a great time to talk about how to travel light but still be able to look great with some essentials for your travel makeup bag! As airlines have added fees for overweight baggage, and there are restrictions on liquid items that you can carry on it’s important that you streamline what you carry in your luggage. It is equally important, however, that you look great while on vacation!

Of course I ALWAYS stress the importance of great skin care, so don’t forget your skin care essentials. It is easy to get travel sizes of your favorite cleansers, moisturizers, eye cream, and DON’T forget the sunscreen!

A great way to streamline your travel makeup bag is to replace your regular foundation with a tinted moisturizer, or you can use a bronzer and mix it in with your moisturizer or sunscreen. It’s a great way to add a little color, without the heavy feel of a foundation. Once you apply this hint of color go ahead and use your concealer in areas that need some extra coverage, to even out your skin tone.

When it comes to travel makeup the “less is best” rule of thumb should always apply, and by this I mean bringing less product with you. You can easily do this by using products that can be used for several purposes. For example, using a cream blush that can be used on your lips as well! Or use an eyeshadow in place of your eye pencil! This saves space in your bag AND makes your makeup application really quick and easy!
