Mr. Derrick E. Conyers, known by many as “Su’Coy,” is a visionary, a hard charger, a go-getter, a supporter of many and a phenom of an entrepreneur! His attributes and enduring aspects of character exposes the truth about one being able to control their own destiny. Unlike Su’Coy, many can find it hard to leave their regular 9-5, serving divorce papers to their unrelenting supervisors and cubicle mates. Some others cannot seem to fathom tillowing to start a business.
It is much easier for those few to spend their days sitting in an office cubicle dreaming of relaxing in the sun on a beach. However, Su’Coy has not limited himself in this regard, and he has made it clear that he will not be deterred by the idea of having to have monetary clout and a slew of qualifications in order to be a successful business owner.
At the age of seven, Su’Coy’s father began to groom him to be an entrepreneur. Also, a visionary, owning a number of successful businesses, Su’Coy’s father ensured that he educated his son on the importance of becoming an exceptional person in business. All of this, while allowing Su’Coy the benefit of properly enjoying his childhood.

Su’Coy’s father, over time, continued to provide him with countless examples of traits of a successful entrepreneur, understanding that it was necessary to “train up his child in the way that he should go.”However, Su’Coy’s father did not realize, at the time, that said training would manufacture extraordinary businessman with a remarkable sense of integrity. Fascinated by dump trucks as a child, Su’Coy’s parents acknowledged this interest, and poured into this fascination.
Su’Coy was very close with his mother and their bond was unlike none other so as she nurtured him and groomed his heart, Su’Coy’s father nurtured him and groomed his mind to navigate this world and be successful in it. Unfortunately, Su’Coy has since lost both of his parents, but he continues to make them proud by doing what was instilled him as a child and young adult. Just as important, Su’Coy and his sister Bonnie share an uncommon bond that also contributed his growth as a person and as an entrepreneur. She instilled in him a sense of self and humbleness that resonates through his quiet demeanor.

Fast forward several years, at the age of twenty-one, Su’Coy was provided an opportunity to purchase dump trucks, and he operated a successful business in that arena for some time. Equally important,Su’Coy became the owner/operator of an 18-wheeler tractor trailer through Su’Coy Trucking, LLC, and for a number of years,traveled cross-country transporting loads of commodities and equipment.
After some years of efficaciously engaging in the world of trucking, Su’Coy set his sights on something more.He left the trucking industry and delved into the field of HVAC and all things related. Su’Coy enrolled into HVAC training, but later found that the training he received did not properly prepare him to perform acceptable work. Su’Coy’s ambition would not allow him to settle for insufficient training. Therefore, with the help of a few seasoned HVAC Contractors, Su’Coy taught himself the trade, utilizing the knowledge he received from those seasoned in the field, coupled with the formal HVAC training he received.

Su’Coy became a force to be reckoned with, within the world of HVAC, and has since become the owner of Su’Coy Heating, AC & Duct Cleaning and Su’Coy Community Learning Center where he teaches, trains, and certifies individuals in the field of HVAC. Additionally, Su’Coy owns and operates Su’Coy Exotic Car Service and Su’Coy Credit Fix.

Su’Coy was ready to take the plunge into the entrepreneurial world at an early age, and he never looked back. Not looking back has allowed him to accomplish so much, while helping others. His companies are continuing to grow, employing numerous people. It is obvious that anyone who is determined can start their own business and become a success story in their own right. Maintaining a sense of determination and will power is essential in this.
It does not matter what one’s education level is, it does not always matter what resources one has access to or the actual area in which one gained their respective fortunes,opportunities are presented through perseverance, a strong work ethic, belief in self and a shade of creative talent.
