Copa: Where will you be shooting?
Barry: We are ready for our big weekend of Headshots in the DMV area. This is our 9th year! I have the best team. I use the best hair and makeup team in the DC area. I have the best assistants and shoot in a beautiful studio in Alexandria Va, Union 206 Studio.

Copa: Why is it so important for everyone to have a current Portrait photograph?
Barry: It is very important to have a great professional headshot, whether you are an actor, TV host, News anchor, Doctor, attorney, real estate agent, Executive etc.

Copa: Why is it so important for everyone to have a current Portrait photograph?
Barry: This is your calling card. Whether it is on your business card or web site. This is the image that may be everyone's introduction to you. You do not want to use a selfie or candid photo. You must look professional for your first impression.

Copa: How many years have you been conducting your fabulous photo-sessions around the region?
Barry: I have been shooting for 9 years in the DMV area. We started off shooting once a year and due to popular demand, we shoot three times a year and usually sell out the weekend.

Copa: In your opinion, what makes your portraits so popular?
Barry: What makes my headshots so popular is the fact that I make people feel comfortable and relaxed and I capture their personality. It is a fun relaxed atmosphere. We always have great music playing. I take my famous jukebox with me :) Everyone loves it and loves the music. I do not use flashy, bright, distracting backgrounds to take away from the subject. I use my signature grey background that I believe brings out the skin tones in the most flattering way and focuses on the subject and their expressions. My makeup artists always do very natural makeup. It is not over done and glamourous; You will always look like yourself at your best. I believe in very light retouching. I am not a fan of over retouching. Again, you want to look like yourself.
