Copa: Was there anything special about this Bridal line that you would like to mention?
Vivien: Our couture bridals and evening gowns demand the limelight at any celebration. This collection is filled with pieces that are unapologetically decadent. From over-the-top gowns to enchanting statement pieces that are custom made and adorned with handmade embellishments. While volume in bridal is nothing new, recent seasons are filled with an influx of a new type of texture. Weightless, dreamy, and ultra-romantic pieces that drift down our runway. For the bride who loves clean lines, sleek shapes, and architectural statements, our designs are all about the cut, styling, precise fit, and impeccable tailoring. From all-over embellishments to semi-sheer styles that dazzle as you move. Our fabrics and embellishments are sourced globally, especially Turkey and Dubai. |
Copa: What was your inspiration for your 2021 Bridal line?
Vivien: My collection was inspired by the timeless and playful seductive style of Iconic Hollywood goddesses like Diana Ross, and Nigerian fashion legends like Diasy Danjumah, Abah Folawiyo, Folorunsho Alakija. My Simple description of this collection is Timeless, Enchanting, and Glamorous. An invitation for generations of brides to come, with a focus on keeping the collection youthful, sexy and dramatic.

Copa: What does the future hold for Anya by Vivien?
Vivien: Continued production of Bridals, Bridesmaids, and exquisite evening gowns. Anya By Vivien will continue to support its charity efforts with our Foundation (Felicias Fund Charity Organization). We will continue to raise funds to empower girls through education and skills development. We will launch the "Felicias Fund Fashion and Tech Academy this summer. A collaborative effort with Richard Wright Charter School in Washington DC, providing specialty fashion education, mentorship, leadership programs, etc.
