​Under the dazzling lights of the DC After Dark International Film Festival on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 7:30 PM, I reveled in the honor of joining this cinematic celebration at the Angelika Pop-Up Theatre in Union Market in Northeast Washington, DC. Graciously invited by visionary Fernando A. Mico, the festival's CEO, sharing the red carpet with Ron West, the esteemed 2023 Copa Style Magazine Celebrity "Man of the Year," added an extra layer of prestige to the evening.

​Highlighting the night was the presentation of the MICO Award, a symbol of Innovation, Courage, and Excellence in the Film Arts, acknowledging the festival's commitment to celebrating artistic brilliance. Congratulations to Sri Mirajkar for securing this esteemed accolade for his captivating movie short, "MERA DADDU" (My Grandpa).

​The red carpet was adorned with moments frozen in time, featuring snapshots with Fernando, Ron, and the deserving award winners. The festival's dedication to horror, thriller, noir, and dark & campy comedy genres showcased the diverse spectrum of the film arts.

​Special gratitude extends to Ransom’s Boutique in Towson, Maryland, for styling me in an exquisite gown, and to Shoe Fanatic for providing the perfect footwear, elevating my red carpet experience. It was truly an unforgettable night of glamour and recognition.
​In the face of pandemic challenges, the DC After Dark International Film Festival, held at the Angelika Pop-Up Theatre in Union Market in Northeast Washington, DC, stands tall, fulfilling its mission to inspire and support individuals across the film arts spectrum. FAME, LLC, under the leadership of Fernando A. Mico, continues to weave a tapestry of cinematic excellence, making this festival a beacon for the creative community.
