This exclusive event showcased 2014 winner Mr. Leon Parham. This talented designer displayed his signature style with pieces that can only be described as "COOL, CREATIVE and EXPRESSIVE"...Which is what earned his eclectic designs the cover of "ROLLING STONES MAGAZINE" worn by ATL'S own OUTKAST!
Mr. Leon Parham attended the prestigious Art Institute of Atlanta-Decatur, studying under his very talented mentor Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds,(Head of Fashion Retail & Management). Days later "Fashion Uncorked 2015 The Fashion Show" crowned it's newest winner and visionary designer Haze Delvin, with his sense of style and vision we are all looking forward to what he will continue to display on the runways this season!
And lastly, The Atlanta Film Festival began it's 39th year with an opening night gala at "Paris on Ponce" http://atlantafilmfestival.com/
VIP's in film, television and like minded artists indulged in the unlimited supply of chicken and roast beef sliders, garlic mashed potatoes, buffalo wings, veggies, salads and more with several open bars with beautiful bartenders serving up cocktail specials all night long. A New Orleans brass band entertained the100+ attendees with great music NOLA STYLE stepping off stage performing all around the room and outside patio where fresh creamy pecan pralines were being served. |
The entire evening was full of fun surprises and speaking of surprises ATLFF director Christopher Escobar brought to the stage the beautiful McBride sisters.
Robin and Andrea McBride are the first African American sisters to launch their own wine named "TRUVEE", The McBride Sisters story comes to life through their passion for wine and personal plight, "TRUVEE"-derived from the french verb "To Find" says it all. The sisters were there to introduce their newest creation, a full bodied red blend. Bartenders poured freely all night.
Before ending the night we all raised our glasses and joined The McBride Sisters in a toast to a successful ATLFF OF 2015! (See more on the McBride Sisters by clicking on the link below)http://www.mcbridesisters.com/#history-the-mcbride-sisters
