Reema: I am originally from India, renowned for its rich cultural and artistic heritage. From a young age, I was deeply immersed in the vibrant world of dance and performance. Copa: Please share some information regarding your education.
Reema: My education in the arts has been formal and experiential, deeply rooted in India’s cultural traditions during my early years. I was fortunate to continue my studies in the USA, further enriching my artistic knowledge and skills. Copa: At what time did you begin working in the Performing Arts?
Reema: I embarked on my journey in the performing arts at a very young age, driven by a profound passion for dance and performance. Growing up in India, I was surrounded by a rich tapestry of artistic expressions that fueled my lifelong commitment to the arts. My career has encompassed various forms of creative expression, including teaching dance, choreographing performances, instructing yoga and pranayama, modeling, anchoring, acting, and organizing cultural events. |

Copa: How many awards have you received and from where?
Reema: Throughout my career, I have been honored with numerous accolades that recognize my contributions to the arts. Notably, I had the privilege of performing at the Kennedy Center, one of the most prestigious cultural venues in the world. I also received commendation from the United States Department of Defense for my artistic contributions. A particularly significant moment was being recognized at the United Nations Global Conference, underscoring the universal power of art to inspire positive change. Most recently, I was awarded at the United Nations for my unwavering dedication to the arts over the past three decades, highlighting the global impact of my work. |
Copa: Who or what has been the largest influence in your life?
Reema: I am deeply influenced by the universe and Mother Earth, believing that the joy of others enriches my own life. My artistic journey has been profoundly shaped by India’s rich cultural heritage, as well as by the numerous mentors and collaborators I have encountered over the years. I also learn immensely from both seniors and young children, who continuously influence and inspire my creative endeavors.

Reema: In addition to my individual artistic pursuits, I founded Echo Dreams Productions, a dynamic platform that integrates various artistic elements such as advertisements, music videos, web design, events, fashion, movies, choreography, yoga, dance, and performances. This initiative allows me to produce exceptional and versatile artistic creations that resonate with a global audience. Additionally, I have successfully promoted Bollywood extravaganzas in the Washington DC metropolitan area, bringing the vibrant culture of India to a broader audience.
