Amaris: I was 4yrs old and participated in a "Womens' Month" activity with the Women's Ministry at my home Church at the time, New Life Bible Church. There was a portion of the program where the young ladies of the church modeled butterfly wings, a white outfit, and a sporting outfit. My mom and other members have shared that I was absolutely comfortable and included additional poses during my time on the runway. My mom entered me in my first pageant a short time later and I won. That was my start into the world of pageantry which often included optional competitions to include runway competitions. Copa: Who are your 3 favorite professional models and why?
Amaris: Tyra Banks because of her transparency with her experiences in the industry and continued passion to provide hands on training and opportunities for upcoming models, Jourdan Dunn because of her advocacy and voice regarding the need for diversity in the modeling industry, and Naomi Campbell because of her signature runway walk. |
Copa: How would you describe your personal style?
Amaris: I really love feminine garments but enjoy doing something edgy every now and then with my mom's approval.
