Empire Watch Party

Atlanta Correspondent.
Now that the "HAPPY HOLIDAY" Mall decorations and Ugly Christmas Sweaters are securely packed away until November, we can all collectively take a deep breath and release the stresses of the day and watch our MINDLESS -MAYHAM OF REALITY TV SHOWS.
With 2015 in FULL SWING, Network executives are slowly returning our night time viewing pleasures to the Days of DALLAS and DYNASTY night time soaps.
These night time Soap operas captured our attention with their juicy story lines, larger than life characters and spectacular designer clothes week after week.
These top rated shows were watched by both young and mature viewers alike, in the early eighties even expanding the globe to Countries as far away as Australia and Germany.
With shows like SCANDAL AND EMPIRE, viewers immediately have become intoxicated with every scene from the word "ACTION".
With both shows airing on PRIME TIME "NON-CABLE" Networks, they have proven they are the "LITTLE ENGINES THAT COULD"...AND DID!!!
EMPIRE'S first episode aired January 7, 2015 to 15 million viewers tuning in (virtually unheard of for a non-cable series) will no doubt sprout EMPIRE VIEWING PARTIES, much like the weekly SCANDAL PARTIES taking place across the nation.
ATLANTA, "THE NEW HOLLYWOOD" affectionately called "BLACK HOLLYWOOD", by both SEASONED AND STRUGGLING BLACK ACTORS, have already embraced this new phenomenon launching the first of many EMPIRE VIEWING PARTIES which took place at THE FOOTPRINTS CAFÉ!
The party was promoted with great fan fare hosted by MAXX HASSELL and COLYN CUMBERBATCH, with a DJ and a live performance by THE BEAMER BOYS, prior to showing Ms. Cookie, (TARAJI P. HENSON) and former husband Mr. Lucious Lyon's, (TERRENCE HOWARD), going "HEAD TO HEAD" on all 5 Big SCREENS!
The chemistry between DC'S own Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard displayed in "HUSTLE AND FLOW" in 2005 still remains in 2015.
That same craftsmanship that earned Terrence Howard an Oscar nomination for HUSTLE AND FLOW" and Taraji P. Henson's Oscar nomination for "THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTONS" proved to be the obvious choice for the insightful and gifted EMPIRE creators Lee Daniels, director of The Butler, and Danny Strong.
I forsee, we the Beaten Down Realty Mayhem Warriors will be tuning in and discussing EMPIRE and SCANDAL for many years to come...Much like GOOD OLD DALLAS AND DYNASTY!
