Copa: Where are you from?
Jamal: I was born to a Palestinian Father and a Russian mother. Also, I grew up at the Gaza Strip- Palestine (The Palestinian Territories). However, because of the cultural mixture I was growing up with parents from different countries. I use the Bulgarian language with my parents because they met at Bulgaria, I feel that I am from everywhere in many ways.
Copa: What schools have you attended?
Jamal: I studied journalism and public relations back home in the Gaza Strip at Al Azhar University, I didn’t finish it because of the political situation there. Also, I decided to continue studying in the United States. So far, I am working on my English language At Northern Virginia Community College to be able to attend Acting and directing school.

Copa: Have you always desired to become a Male Model?
Jamal: Definitely. Generally, I always work hard to become an artist especially as a director and an actor. Therefore, since the modeling is part of the visual arts and most of it is acting, I believe that I always wanted to be one.

Copa: When was your first modeling job and how did you feel about it?
Jamal: It was 3 years ago. The modeling story was by accident when I was volunteering as a photographer for the local Arab magazine in the DMV Area which called Habaibna Magazine. This magazine helped with organizing a Pakistani fashion show and the show needed male models. For this reason the magazine recommended me . Of course, I wasn’t scared to be facing a huge crowd, but I was so confused because I never walked the cat walk in my life. However, once I walked on the Runway, people started to shout and clapping for me. Only at that point, I felt that modeling is something I was made for.

Jamal: One on hand, I believe most of my friends love the idea and they support my vision. On the other hand, some of the friends see it too much. Both of these two groups are pushing me forward to become better version of myself now.
