"Who Are Your People?"

When we think about support we all have our own ideas of what that looks like. Who does not want supporters & followers when you are branding yourself or building a business? In order to elevate in life those are the people we truly need in our corner. If we lived in a perfect world we would all have the complete support that we needed, if we just had our friends. Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world & the reality of it all is that we need more than our immediate circle to progress.
I know I’m not the first person to tell you this, but here goes! Most of your support will probably come from new people that you meet along your journey. Don’t get me wrong, there are some stand-up people in the world that promote, push, celebrate & support their own tribe “in real life.” The sad truth is that sometimes the people that are the closest to you are only comfortable with you as long as you’re beneath them. Those are not truly your people. When people truly love you they want to see you win “in real life.” We as people often times see certain traits that show us who our people truly are by their actions. Some people are in constant turmoil, because they are holding on to people that have let them go a long time ago. Stop wasting time trying to figure out why isn’t my family supporting me, why aren’t my friends buying my products etc. Instead start focusing on the people that are showing you that they are your people “in real life.”
Something that I often tell people is to give the same love, commitment and support that they want & need from other people. Just imagine how far ahead we would be if more people started to live that way. It’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a team of winners collaborating to create amazing opportunities for the entire team. People that are confident don’t feel threatened by other confident people, instead they embrace it.
Start the New Year off by seeing people & opportunities for who they are & what they are. God will remove people & replace people. Let that natural shift happen, so that you can finally realize who your people truly are. It’s your time to shine!
