"EMPOWERING WOMEN IN THE FLESH"

We often hear women speak about women empowering women. There are truly women in the world that do just that. I’m going to speak about how that connection should be a two sided affair. Let’s start of by talking about how all of us love receiving support when we have events. We “all” love it when people share our events on their social media pages. We also want them to tell their friends & family to come out & join us. We want that support, because we want to reach as many people as possible to elevate our own brands or businesses. There is no better feeling than looking out into the crowd at your own event & seeing the people that you support, uplift & promote doing the same thing for you.
Of course, we can’t make every event all of the time, we all know that. What we can do is make a “conscious” decision to start treating people that show us love & support with the same acts of kindness. I see entirely too often people ask for support, love & compassion from others, but they are not willing to give the same in return. Just think about who matters the next time you have an event. Look out into your crowd at your next event or look at the social media tags & shares, those are your people. It’s too many people that are caught up in the hype of being in the “in crowd” that they lose themselves along the way. True women that empower women, go all out for the women that go all out for them, never taking each other for granted. Often times a stranger or new friend will show you more love, support & loyalty than someone that you have known forever. It’s okay to refocus your attention & time towards deserving people. You don’t owe anyone an extra day of support, attention or loyalty once you clearly see that it’s not reciprocated. Never be afraid to stand firm on what you believe in.
Sometimes all you have to do is look at life as if you’re on the outside looking in. Now ask yourself am I giving the love that I want to receive in return? Once you are true to yourself you can start being true to others. This is just a reminder of how important it is to empower women in the flesh. Granted it may be times when your schedule is hectic, trust me I know that feeling first hand. Just think about your network of business support & remember most of your people are just as busy as you are. When you are truly committed to giving back the support you want to receive, you will have to sacrifice some of your time for the sake of others. Let’s start a trend that in turn could go viral & change the world. Women empowering women in the flesh is trending! ~Dana Dayne
