Copa: Eric, how did you and Sakeisha become best friends?
Eric: We met a parking lot back in college and spent a lot of time speaking with each other. We would visit a lake and Tallahassee and talk for hours on top of hours. This communication with no doubt was the foundation of our special relationship. Sakeisha: Yes, It's very important to establish a true friendship before you can move on to anything else. It's was important to remember that we both of came from divorced parents. We did not wish to repeat this situation. Copa: How long have you both been married?
Sakeisha: We've been happily married for over 20 years. |
Copa: When did you get the idea to establish your company? Marriages can win.
Sakeisha: We've been helping married couples for over 12 years now. After we wrote our book about 3 years ago we decided to turn our service into a business. I seemed that wherever we went, the grocery store, the mall, or shopping people began asking questions to seek help on marriage and relationships. Things just evolved at a rapid pace. Early on we conducted seminars in our church with the marriage ministry.

Sakeisha: A lot of had to do with different situations that were brought to our attention while being part of the facilitating team such as conflict resolution. You can name just about any situation...like 'walking in forgiveness' and more.

Copa: What sort of topics do you have to work with the most?
Eric: Well, we've done several seminars to speak on keys and strategies to develop winning relationships.
Sakeisha: This all had to do with different challenges that we were approached with being part of the Marriage Ministry. There are many issues about communication and conflict resolution, you name it...they had questions about it. Also there were many questions concerning finances and how to work with each other in a practical way which would resolve the issue.
