Myrna Pitts
"The Androgynous Model"
In a world of rapid change, the modeling industry is in a constant flux of change. Every now and again something happens that captures notable attention. With social media becoming a platform where many women find themselves roaring, some roar louder than others. One such person landed in my TikTok "for you" feed and it was none other than @androgynousmodel65....enter in the most beautiful, fabulous, edgy, and fresh model I have ever seen. As I continued to look through her photos, videos and "real talks", it was clear that she was an artist. An artist and model that lived out loud and gave a voice to people like herself. The BIG question became....why doesn't the world know her? I watched her go from 3800+ followers to almost 20,000 followers in less than 90 days and growing everyday. Read more about the dynamic Myra Pitts in this wonderful interview conducted by Rodney Wayne Branche for Copa Style Magazine.

Myrna: I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Baltimore, Maryland. Copa: Which schools have you attend?
Myrna: I attended Woodlawn Middle School, Randallstown Senior High and the University District of Columbia. My major was Physiology and Public speaking. Copa: At what time did you discover the 'magic' of fashion?
Myrna: I discovered the magic of fashion at a very early age, my mother modeled, therefore fashion was always a flare in our home. |
Copa: When did you you decide to begin your adventure in modeling?
Myrna: I decided to engage my quest for modeling February of 2020, I was a contestant in the Ink Magazine Covergirl contest, I didn’t win but I knew that modeling and being, in front of the camera was my passion and calling.

Copa: What was your first experience at your first professional photo-shoot?
Myrna: My earliest and first experience at a photo-shoot was fun, it was elegant and somewhat pampering, it made me feel like I was what the world wanted, developing the right chemistry with the photographer was easy, only because I was the only person that had his attention and he had mine.

Copa: What would be your ultimate photo-shoot and it's location?
Myrna: The perfect shoot for me would be a human chess board with all models being painted naked, and me being the King and Queen on both sides (androgynous). The shooting would take place in Central Park around chess players, the theme would be "Searching for Bobby Fisher," he was a master mind of chess, who mysteriously just left life.
