Copa: Where are you from?
Patricia: I'm from New York, New York.
Copa: At what time did you develop the idea for WEModel USA?
Patricia: After becoming the owner and publisher of HERLIFE Magazine. A magazine specifically focused on beautiful women doing exceptionally well in the DMV and being empowered to do more. The WE in WEModel USA stands for Women Empowered.

Copa: Please explain to us why everyone should educate themselves more on the problem of Human Trafficking.
Patricia: Did you know the 2nd largest criminal industry worldwide, making over $150 billion a year and victimizing over 25 million individuals, is Human Trafficking? The U.S. is the #1 consumer of paid sex -- whenever there is a demand and a buck to be made, it will attract activity. Unfortunately, some people will prey on those who are vulnerable. We must not be a target of this horrendous crime. It's our responsibility to protect our children and women from ever becoming victims of this crime. Human Trafficking is happening in our backyard.

Copa: What is WEModel USA, and please tell our readers about the competition, and what makes it special?
Patricia: WEModel USA is known for its high-profile fashion events that come with all the bells and whistles, including professional photographers, fashion designers, red carpet interviews, and of course, beautiful models. Our models are very diverse, come in all sizes, colors, and shapes, and like the organization itself, have a real commitment to ending human trafficking. We educate and bring awareness of human trafficking through the lens of beauty, fashion and entertainment. The shows are highly professional and impact everyone who attends them. But more importantly, the performances are a way to bring awareness to the public about human trafficking. WEModel USA provides selected aspiring models with international opportunities and cultural experiences, and concurrently, the models agree to be a voice and use their platforms to spread awareness of human sex trafficking.
One segment will require the models to use the runway to express human sex trafficking. It's creative and it's effective. It teaches the model awareness and tools to protect themselves and it educates the target audience, more young humans who potentially are at risk of being a victim. Models are incentivized for the roles they play in society.

Copa: What does the future hold for WEModel USA?
Patricia: WEModel USA has a global mission, and our goal is to build a global trusted network of resources with like-minded people. We use technology, beauty, and entertainment to create campaigns to equip and empower women and children to prevent, protect, and prosecute against those who engage in unethical and criminal actions such as human sex trafficking. Our goal is to build a network with more than 5 million people worldwide while representing the fashion and beauty industry.
I truly believe "Every woman and child should be equipped with tools and resources to protect them from ever becoming a victim of this horrific crime."

5. I thought it would be a cool way to make money. I love to do poses and wear beautiful dresses.
It's fun. I get to meet new people. I get to see my best friend Pat. Those are my favorite parts.
I also learned that being cute starts from the inside.
6. What do your friends think of your modeling?
They think it is really cool. At first they didn't believe me, but when I showed them my modeling portfolio they thought my pictures were amazing. They said they wish they could model too.
