Copa: At what time did you discover you had a gift with music?
Richmond: I was 5 years old. Public Montessori School. Good teachers, My family support and my love for Violin and practice turned it into gift.

Copa: How would you describe the magic relationship between you and your electric violin?
Richmond: I love being able to perform music as if it's a conversation or a storyteller. I love being able to take a song, put my own seasonings on it and share it all over the world. Electric Violin is great for my dancing and interactive performance style.

Copa: Do you play any other instruments besides the violin?
Richmond: I also play Viola, Cello and a little Piano.

Copa: Who are your top 3 musicians of all time and why?
Richmond: Ella Fitzgerald. She worked hard and performed all over the world and was the best in a time when being the best was challenging for African Americans. Stuff Smith- he was the original black Jazz Violin King I feel. His improve was masterful and he was quite a showman. Also I love Roy Hargrove. His career is perhaps closest to what I want to achieve in terms of jazz, diversity, touring and composition.

Copa: Please tell our readers about some of the wonderful locations you have performed.
Richmond: I toured Mexico and the Carribean while working on Disney Cruise Line. I performed for nearly 1,000,000 viewers during Rayshard Brooks Views Services on National and Worldwide Television Networks. I have performed around most of the United States in at least 35 states.

Copa: What does the future hold Richmond Punch and his world of wonderful music.
Richmond: This year I am tackling Paris and New York Fashion Weeks. Also, Dubai, India and London are on my radar. I also hope to record an award-winning album and I just keep pushing forward from there.
