Raiza & Ramon: Our educational journeys reflect our dedication to continuous growth and mastery. I, Raiza Bonaparte, hold certifications in design, modeling, acting, fashion, finance, securities, wealth management, and business consulting. This multifaceted education allows me to approach fashion with creativity and strategic acumen. Ramón Antonio, inspired by his father’s tailoring expertise, graduated from Rocha Academy as a master tailor and has spent his life perfecting the art of bespoke tailoring. Copa: At what time did you become interested in fashion and design?
Raiza & Ramon: For me, Raiza, my passion for fashion began when I was a child, I had a burning desire to empower others. I wanted to create clothing that not only looked elegant but also made people feel confident and amazing. Ramón’s love for tailoring started at the young age of 9 when he began learning from his father, a master tailor. By 23, he had already founded his own company, blending innovation with craftsmanship. Together, our love for fashion and design has been the driving force behind our brands. |

Raiza & Ramon: The Capital Tailor Inc. was established in 2015 as a luxury custom tailoring brand. Based in Washington, DC, and Rockville, MD, we specialize in bespoke suits and clothing for men and women, offering attire for business, weddings, formal events, and red-carpet appearances. Our services include: * Custom designs made to measure, consultations in-office, virtually, or on-location. * Bespoke designs tailored to each client’s unique needs. * Business-to-business partnerships, offering tailoring services for designers, retailers, and brands. Our mission is to empower our clients with clothing that feels as amazing as it looks, ensuring elegance and confidence in every piece. |

Raiza & Ramon: This year, we are celebrating The Capital Tailor Inc.’s 10th anniversary with a series of exclusive events throughout 2025. These events will showcase our unique style, highlight our signature collections, and promote our brands--Despampanante by Raiza Bonaparte, The Capital Tailor Inc., and Ramon Antonio. As part of this celebration, we will make our clothing more accessible through special discount packages and curated showcases. These events are our way of thanking our loyal clients and fans while introducing new audiences to the world of bespoke elegance. Raiza & Ramon: We are planning a series of events throughout 2025 to celebrate The Capital Tailor Inc.’s 10th anniversary. These will include pop-ups and showcases designed to promote our brands and engage with our clients directly. We are also excited about the official launch of Ramon Antonio, our e-commerce brand offering exclusive, bespoke designs. Additionally, we are expanding our business-to-business tailoring services, collaborating with retailers and designers to broaden our reach in the fashion world.

Raiza & Ramón: A Love Story for the Ages
How did Raiza and Ramón meet?
Raiza Bonaparte and Ramón Antonio Mejía’s story is nothing short of a cinematic fairytale. Their paths first crossed in the Dominican Republic when Raiza was just 14 years old and Ramón was 21. It was a romance filled with youthful passion, the kind that inspires novels and dreams. For a couple of magical years, they shared a love that seemed destined to last forever.
However, life had other plans. In true Novela style, a dramatic turn of events separated them, leaving them to believe they might never see each other again. But as fate would have it, destiny had not forgotten their love. Thirteen years later, their paths intertwined once more, proving that true love always finds a way. In 2002, they were married in a beautiful ceremony in Bávaro, Dominican Republic, where their love story began anew.
Building a Life Together
In 2003, Ramón relocated to Maryland to join Raiza, where they began building not only a family but also a shared legacy of entrepreneurship, creativity, and resilience. Together, they have built a remarkable life, one filled with innovation and vision.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Ramón discovered his passion for tailoring at the age of nine, inspired by his father, a highly skilled tailor.
