Copa: Where are you from?
Kathi: I was born in Georgetown Hospital in Washington DC. I lived in DC until I finished high school and then we moved to Prince George’s County, Maryland. Copa: At what time did you become interested in acting?
Kathi: Acting sparked something in me as a child—I vividly remember rewriting the Wizard of Oz script in the 6th grade and performing it for the entire school. I joined my high school drama club and later participated in my university's drama department. I told my parents that I wanted to get a degree in Fine Arts, but they suggested I get a degree in Behavioral and Social Science which I did. I did not start seriously pursuing acting until 2017. |
Copa: In your opinion, what are the biggest challenges for an actor?
Kathi: Staying emotionally grounded while constantly inhabiting other lives is no small feat. Rejection and uncertainty are part of the package, but so is the pressure to continuously evolve while staying authentic

Copa: What big project is coming up?
Kathi: I am beyond excited about my latest short film "Brokedown and Bougie" premiering on November 29th. The movie follows 3 Bougie Besties as they prepare for a fabulous night on the town. I have a lead role which is central to the plot, and I also managed key production aspects as the Associate Producer. The story, the cast, everything feels fantastic like a burst of energy that will captivate the audience, Stay tuned!
